Know what you are growing
Oyster mushrooms can grow on appropriately prepared straw. This dry 5 lb material format gives growers a straightforward lignocellulosic base without claiming it is hydrated, pasteurized or ready to inoculate.
Choose a validated preparation method, hydrate and drain appropriately, and inoculate with suitable oyster spawn. This is not a universal substitute for the supplemented hardwood used with Shiitake or Lion’s Mane.
