Lion’s Mane spawn contains living Hericium erinaceus mycelium on hydrated millet. This is a named species product, not a bag of untreated grain or a generic culture. Its role is to start mycelium in a larger receiving substrate.
Use this spawn with appropriately processed supplemented hardwood substrate, following a species-appropriate inoculation rate and clean handling method. The receiving substrate still needs appropriate preparation; spawn does not replace that work.
